The MAUPINFEST
Documentary Team
Who We Are

Michael Duncan
Executive Producer
Mike is driven by a great love and respect for history. He believes in documenting and preserving stories for others to experience. Up until now, that documenting has been done in the print world through writing and publishing memoirs dealing with local history. Then Mike got to know Thomas Maupin and the rural Tennessee yearly event that celebrates Old Time Music and flat foot buck dancing. And he assembled a talented team to record and preserve the man and the music. The result is this documentary, MAUPINFEST.
For Mike, this first time video production of his is truly a passion project, a work of love. If you spend an hour enjoying MAUPINFEST the documentary, and find yourself believing this music and dance is a folk art worth preserving for future generations, then Mike and everyone connected with this video project have succeeded.

Tom Terry
Director of Photography
Tom is a graduate of the University of Southern MS with a degree in film production. This led him down the path of working at four different local television stations from MS to TN. He multitasked at various positions from studio camera work for local news to photojournalism in the field to commercial work. He dove back into the world of film by partnering with two fellow television veterans with like minded goals. They collaborated on several film projects from short films to documentaries to finally a much anticipated goal of a full length feature film, "The Dead Half", in 2017. This fanned the flames to continue film work to this day. He also has worked in a freelance capacity with everything from sports photography with an NHL Franchise to commercial work to documentaries to music videos. As Tom would say " television paid the bills, but film work fueled his dreams". He currently resides in Nashville, TN with no signs of slowing down.
